Well, today I found out, that someone had stolen, or scraped one of my websites. I spent over 2 years building this website. Then someone comes along and steals everything. The worst part is that they changed a few things, such as the logo, and a few lines of text, and then sold the website to someone else.
I cant explain the frustration that I feel at this moment. It’s not fair. It’s not the fact that someone stole, or scraped the website. It’s the fact that they still had the cheek to sell it to someone else, and make a profit from all of my hard work.

Wow, what can I say, life is not fair, and this has been, one hell of a week. I don’t even know where to start. Monday, was hectic, as always. And on Tuesday 10th October 2017, in Durban KwaZulu Natal, we experienced the biggest storm, that I have ever seen. And then on Wednesday, 11th October, it’s as if nothing ever happened, and we had sunny spring day.
But, as far as I have heard, there have been at least 11 lives lost. And the storm left so much damage, that it’s unbelievable. This has to be the worst storm that I have ever seen. I feel so sorry for the people that were impacted by the storm. Sometimes, life is not fair.

Choosing a company name might be the most important choice that you will ever make. It can hurt, when you realize that you have been spending all your time and money, on building a company name, only to realize that you have hit the ceiling, and have to start from scratch.
Don’t limit yourself, by being too specific. You need to think of the bigger picture. You might start off, with only selling a specific product, but you will eventually need to grow and scale your company.

Well, last night I decided to get creative, and draw a vector-based cartoon character. I have always dreamed of being a cartoonist, but never really focused on it. I have done so many other things, but never really spent the time on drawing cartoon characters.
Meet TANK, named after the idea of a THINK-TANK. After drawing this cartoon character, I wondered, how much I would actually charge, to do the same for someone else? How could I put a price, on something like this?
It’s hard, to put a price on art. I can imagine the struggle that other artists and designers go through. I probably put in about 6 hours into the creation of this cartoon character so far. But once you put a price on it, and sell it, it’s gone. And it doesn’t belong to you anymore.

Somehow, you need to find the time to scratch your own itch. Even if it’s only for 30 minutes a day. If you have something that you really want to do, you need to find the time to do it.
The less time that you have, the longer it will take to learn something. But at least, you are making the effort to grow and develop yourself on a daily basis.

There is something about wearing a well-tailored suit, that will make any man feel like a gentleman. It’s amazing how good you feel, when you are the best-dressed man in the room.
A suit remains the timeless portrayal of success. There comes a time in a man’s life, when a real man, needs to start dressing like a man. No one will take you seriously wearing a hoody, with your underpants sticking out, and your trousers around your knees.

Today, I have been thinking about the word “influence”, and it’s been bugging me. Who am I, and how much of what I am today, has been through the influence of others?
Over the past few months, I have been trying to learn as much as possible about myself, and writing has been a great way to put my thoughts on paper, while trying to untangle the mess. What if, I could hit the reset button, and forget everything that I was ever taught in life.
What would I keep? And what would I need to let go of? Why do I think, or act in the way that I do? What is real in life, and what is not real? What is normal, and what is not normal? Who determines, which is which? Who is really sane, and who is insane? And, who really has the right to judge anyone else?

The best advice that I could give someone looking to attract more customers is to stop hiding behind your logo. A logo, is just a logo. People don’t care about your logo, or flashy marketing material. Either you, or someone in your company, needs to step up to the plate, and get to know your customers.
It’s not rocket science. To attract more customers, you need to listen to your customer’s needs, wants and desires. The problem with large corporations is that they lose touch with whats happening on the sales floor.

I have to admit, blogging is not easy. I have been doing this now, for about 6 months. I have been trying to write every day, or as often as possible while working a full-time job.
The thought of giving up has probably crossed my mind a million times already. It feels like that I’m working 24/7, but it’s virtually impossible to get people to visit my website, to actually read what I have written.
